When Erin asked if Jesse and I would come down to DC for her and RJ’s engagement shoot, I jumped at the chance. It is always so exciting to shoot somewhere new.
Erin & RJ were amazing tour guides, and we walked all over the city. The Jefferson memorial, the Botanic Center, scenic overviews of the Capitol… and, the most important place of them all- the kickball field where they met. ha!
The city has been such a big part of their relationship- neither of them is originally from DC, but they’ve both been there a while. So it was important to them to get pictures in the place where they met. And we were happy to!

with Jefferson in the background. There was construction, so we did extra creative cropping on the photos
I love my fish eye lens- it gets so much in the photo (too much actually- I had to photoshop tourists out!)
we wanted something other than the "stand in front of Jefferson and smile" thing... I love how this turned out.

I love how the light is peeking through the trees...

I turned around to backup, and when I turned back Jesse had jumped in the photo. hahaha
on the kickball field... Jesse had them hold hands and they started doing a little dance hahahaa
on the rooftop of RJ's building with the Capitol in the distance. Love this one!!
Erin and RJ laugh constantly, but I love this one for a change of pace. Jesse somehow got them to stop laughing long enough to snap this.

This is a totally candid moment... Jesse was taking a pic, turned around and RJ just kissed the top of Erin's head.
in union station. the ceiling looked like the moon!
doesn't everyone dance at the train station?
We couldn't help but snag little details here and there... I love that this is a mesh of Jesse's photo (left) and mine (right)
