Henderson House Wedding: Emily and Justin
September 22, 2011Emily & Justin’s wedding felt like it was in the English countryside… Emily’s dress reminded me of Jane Austen, the church was big and old and beautiful, and the Henderson House is absolutely stunning and should be located in western England, not Weston, MA. It was a hot, but beautiful day, and Emily and Justin’s low-key personalities made for a relaxed and happy wedding!

Boston Maternity Photographer: Kara
September 21, 2011It was so much fun photographing Kara’s maternity. We’re only due a couple weeks apart, so aside from the obvious issues we had walking from place to place and getting up from crouched positions, it was so nice to be able to photograph this important time in someone else’s life too. I know how much I love my maternity photos (which, btw, there will be more of soon), and I hope that Kara loves hers just as much. I think these photos will only come to mean more as our babies (and we) get older…

North End Engagement Photos: Nicola & Shawn
September 19, 2011Ummm, maybe it’s because we had so much fun or maybe it’s because Nicola and Shawn look like models, I just can’t resist posting a few more of their fabulous engagement shoot. Here’s the first couple we showed last week: http://cirasphotography.com/blog/index.php/north-end-engagement-shoot-nicola-shawn/

Let’s hear it for the boys
September 8, 2011Well, after losing power for what seemed like a month (it was only 4 days, but at one point I literally told Jesse I lost the will to live), incubating a baby (I will continue to use this as an excuse for everything until this little nugget is out in the world), having my baby shower (amazing. photos to come eventually), decorating a nursery (omg. I’m in love with it. I sometimes just go in there and sit and look at how pretty it is), and catching up on album design, the time has come for me to actually blog something. August was lovely, we had a bit of a “catch up break” and now are heading into fall weddings. This weekend, Paul & Resina are getting married on a boat! Well, they’re technically getting married on the beach and then the reception will be on a boat. I couldn’t be more excited.
So, I was thinking that I’d post a bunch of photos from Sept last year, because it always seems to fly by so fast… so I went into my folders from last year and began selecting photos… I had this whole “pick an artsy photo you’ve never blogged” idea floating around. But as I began picking, the ones I was drawn to were photos of the grooms. I know I brag all the time about what a great job Jesse does capturing the whole “guys getting ready” deal, but it should be said more that the men are so cute and loveable on their wedding day. Yes, the day may not circle around them the way it does for a bride, but I know that most of my favorite photos of my wedding are where Jesse looks adorable.
So, for all you 90s music fans who get my stupid blog post title, Let’s hear it for the boys…
