So when Jesse and I aren’t rocking your faces off with our awesome photo-taking abilities, this is what we look like.
Notice how Jesse completely photo bombed my amazing shot?! If not, that huge arrow was courtesy of photoshop to illustrate how difficult my life is, dealing with rogue husbands whilst trying to take awesome photos. 
Oh, and I pretty much giggle like that all day long.
It takes guts to tattoo your fiance’s name on your body. I love the location of it, and how beautiful Jeanne looks next to it…

Jesse has had to pick up some slack lately since I was busy birthin’ a baby and feeding her 20 hours a day. On 10/11, 2 days after Autumn was born Jesse went and shot an engagement session and an anniversary/rock the dress session. I was bummed that I couldn’t be there (though I wasn’t planning on being there even if I hadn’t had the baby… I was too huge and pregnant to be walking around for hours carting my cameras!), but happy that there’s two of us so that we can split up when needed.
Annabelle & Anthony chose the North End for their engagement shoot because that’s where they’re getting married, and they love it there.
Sarah & Dave are already married, and wanted us to shoot their wedding three years ago, but we were already booked! So when they wanted to do a photo shoot to commemorate Dave’s recovery from cancer, they thought of us. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate! And, because Sarah didn’t love her wedding portraits, she wore her dress again… and totally rocked it!!

I LOVE this photo. Jesse stood across the street and captured the cab moving into the frame while I held a flash on Nicola & Shawn for some more light... then I photoshopped myself out!
I’ve never seen attention to detail like this beautiful Rehearsal Dinner at Bourne Farm in Falmouth. Alexis and her mom spent hours taking this from an empty barn to a little dream world… they not only set each table, but they rolled in wine barrels as cocktail table (genius! I want to do this on my deck now!), and even labeled lobster bibs for everyone. And, mother nature played along- providing no rain, but this ethereal covering of blue fog.
Alexis and Brent even set up activites for people- here was the Michigan themed cornhole!
I love this photo for a bunch of reasons, and the biggest is because Andrea & Corey were super nervous about having their photo taken and here they look so relaxed. (Engagement shoots are a great idea if you’re not a fan of having your photo taken. By the end, both Andrea & Corey agreed that they felt better about the idea of us coming and stalking them on their wedding day!)
I also love the light. Different times of day yield different colors of light, and here, right before sunset, is really beautiful golden/pink sunlight.
I love how they’re posed. They were looking at me for a straight-on shot (and that must be why they’re laughing- I’m pretty funny! haha), and Jesse snagged this shot from the side. They’re not “camera-aware” and it looks so natural. This is why it’s great to have two photographers- they now have one shot of them looking at the camera, and one shot of them laughing from the side.
I love the exposure. When taking photos, Jesse and I shoot in all manual mode. We like to have complete control over how the photo’s going to look. Jesse had the option of shooting with a flash and the sky would have been blue and everything would have been darker. But I love this more… it’s light, it’s airy and summery… it’s a fun, warm, “artsy” photo. In short, Jesse is a genius.
